one of my mates put his shiny new V3i through a full wash and rinse/spin cycle in the washing machine, took it entirely to bits and dried it out. worked dandy fine

Thanks for the suggestion, i wrapped it in silica gel and have left it in the airing cupboard. Will let you know how successful it is

:j:jmy son's SE walkman type (think its 580 or whatever!?) went through a whole wash in his jeans pocket , took it out and switched it on - dead ,,,, :mad:
then we removed sim and batt. dry it for a day , all working again !!!

Turned it on today- no luck, it lights up but the screen is just showing lines. Oh well was worth a try!0
