I don't stick to one brand, I use the reviews in magazines to buy both makeup and skincare products(Essential Mag being one) as I don't think I have the money or the time to test them!
One of the recommendations was Revlon dial foundation (not sure what the correct name is!) but it's brill I've been using this for over a year
I've also read great reviews for Lacura Mascara from Aldi and use it daily.

I am the ultimate make up tart, cant seem to stick with anything even if I love it, must have a very low attention span:rotfl:

I find you cant go wrong with any product from the Lauder group (MAC, Estee Lauder, Clinique, philosphy, Jo Malone and creme de la mer) my personal fav is Estee Lauder.

Whem I am budget shopping I love Collection 2000 and GOSH.
Thank you for this site Martin

I have real problems with makeup - I am very fair skinned and to top it off my skin is incredibly sensitive so when I find a foundation that suits me I stick to it.
I used to use Clinique but a couple of Xmas's ago I bought a solid foundation palette from a company called Helen E in Debenhams and it is absolutely fantastic, it suits my skin and is exactly the right colour. However, they only promote it around Xmas time, which is ok as I dont wear makeup often and when I do I only need a little.
I got some for £10 last Xmas and got a free goodie bag with lip brush, lip gloss (I've just tried it for the first time now and its actually really nice) a glitter eyeliner pencil (which is gorgeous) and some other little bits which is fantastic.
Other than that, Boots 17 eyeshadow, and Superdrug mascara. Im not fussy :D

I am a make-up tart. I will use cheapies if they are good but I find some things are worth spending more on. Cheap eyeshadows & lipsticks often have less pigment so you either end up using more or they don't blend well.
    I'm exactly the same.

I love MAC, but one of my favourite blushers (that isn't MAC) comes from boots natural collection. It's a pretty colour, I'd love to try some NARS, but I can get the same effect from that, and it's much cheaper.

I love benefit bad gal mascara.

Lipstick I don't use, but I love lancome juicy tubes or stila glosses. Either that or I use carmex lipbalm.

Foundation is No7 by boots - the intelligent colour one, though I do like you rebel tinted moisturiser by benefit.

That's all I can remember, hardly ever wear make-up other than when I'm going out :rotfl:

For nails I use anything - usually CND (they're my prof brand, so I use them at home as well), Chanel, rimmel and I've used the george ones form Asda - ok for the first few uses, clogs up quite badly though, but cheap enough to throw away.
  • My fave brands are MAC and Benefit, I think the quality is fab, however, I can't always afford them so I also stock up on Maybelline which I find is cheap but effective.

I don't wear a lot of make-up really but I am finding that what I do buy is always Clarins now. I use all their skincare products - cleansers, toners etc and they seem to really suit my skin.

Loads of people have been asking me if I've had some sort of treatment on my face because it looks so good the last year. So, as old make-up as finished, I have been replacing bits with Clarins. The other day I bought a tube of summery lip gloss and it's gorgeous.

While I was in there a woman was spending over £100 on Clarins face creams and didn't bat an eyelid at the price. I will say her skin was beautiful and I heard her telling the assistant that she wouldn't be without Clarins.

The only items I use now which are not Clarins are a tinted moisturiser by Avon with SPF15 and I use Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream for all sorts of little "jobs".
  • My favourite brands are probably BeneFit, B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful or Urban Decay. I'm a sucker for anything that's a bit unusual or quirky, particularly in packaging terms - call me odd but I like my dressing table to look pretty!

That said, this is what I am currently using:

    - Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundation (the one I'm currently using is a sample but I have just bought the full size one because I absolutely love it and it ticks all the boxes I want it to - yes it's pricey but it's an investment)
    - Rimmel Hide The Blemish concealer
    - B Never Too Be Busy To Be Beautiful blusher, which is OK but not brilliant. I'll probably find a new one when it's used up (which could be a while off mind...)
    - Maybelline Great Lash mascara
    - Eyeshadows from Maybelline (Dream Mousse Eye Colour) and Boots Natural Collection
    - Lipglosses from Lancome (Juicy Tubes) and BeneFit (Her Glossiness) - one was a present and the other was a freebie though
    - B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Bon Bon highlighter
    - B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Sweet Lips lip scrub
    - BeneFit Dr Feelgood Lipscription lip balm and lip scrub (never opened)
    - BeneFit Bad Gal mascara freebie (unopened)

I am kind of the same with make-up as I am about clothes and perfume though - I have 'everyday' make-up and 'posh' make-up, and what I need is to distinguish between the two.

That said though if I had the money I would be a bit of a 'cult' products junkie...
