Do you stick to a favourite makeup brand and just prefer all their range from lipsticks, shadows, face to nails etc.. or do you prefer to have a bit of each makeup from each and every brand available.
do you find that a particular brand is better at a particular item, say colour range of lipsticks or eyeshadows etc.
just curious to know,
for me, i seem to prefer bourjois lipsticks and the rest clinique (freebies!) i have tried cheaper brands like No17, Natural collection but find the quality not as good, and i'm not so fond of the colour ranges of max factor, revlon, loreal, rimmel, maybelline, collection 2000.
oh and trying out the benefit (freebie) mascara - which seems ok but still prefer the clinique high definition,
your thoughts?

My foundation is Estee Double Wear; I've tried everything else and nothing comes close. I use No17 bronzer, and loads of Avon for eyes. I've had Max Factor Lipfinity for an absolute age, but have just this week started using a freebie colourstay (i think) which I'm liking a lot.
I love Avon's antiwrinkle stuff too.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
I am a make-up tart. I will use cheapies if they are good but I find some things are worth spending more on. Cheap eyeshadows & lipsticks often have less pigment so you either end up using more or they don't blend well.
Eyeshadow: Bobbi Brown or Tesco
Mascara: Tesco is fine.
Eyeliner: Rimmel is fine
Lipstick: Bobbi brown
Foundation: Revlon minerals -I'm very pale. (tried L'oreal and Avon and both were chalky)
Lip gloss: vaseline
Concealer: Yves Saint Laurent Touche eclat. Nothing comes close.
I'm going to try Aldi Mascara and concealer as I have good things about both.
I'm trying to be MSE but it is a struggle when i see lovely cosmetics."I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." A. Whitney Brown0 -
I use a mixture of everything really as I find not all products from a certain range suit me.
For eye shadows I tend to buy either Barry M Dazzle dusts or MAC Pigments. Mascara I always buy Lancome as I've never been happy with the cheaper ones that I've tried.
Eye Liner Miss Sporty is definitely the best I've tried.
Foundation after trying many cheaper ones I always come back to Lancome so am not even going to bother wasting money on cheap ones anymore.
Bronzer / Blusher - am open to anything really as am not fussy about these.
Lip glosses - again if I like it then I'm not bothered what brand it is.
I would say my make up bag is 50% high end products and brands and 50% cheaper items. By using a few cheap brands it means I can indulge in the more expensive items from time to time when I need toOne day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
I love Barry M dazzle dust but I can't put it on without it ending up all over my face and any surface within 20 yards. Their nail polish is just fab too.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

I do tend to favour certain brands for certain products...
MAC for eyeshadows and lipsticks
NARS for bronzer and blusher
YSL for Mascara
Chanel for lip gloss (Aqualumiere - haven't found any product that even comes close!)
YSL or Smashbox for concelaer
Chanel or MAC for nail polish.
Yes, I like my high end products but I also have highly sensitive, reactive skin and many brands are unsuitable for me so I tend to stick with what I know is good for me. I used to spend a small fortune 'trying' bits and bobs from the cheaper end of the market only to find that the product didn;t agree with me and I ended up chucking t after a few uses. All in all, it probably cost me more than just buying what I absolutely need from the high end ranges.0 -
Lily Lolo for cover up and foundation.
I like Max factor for mascara and rimmel for nail polish.

Clinique for eyes, chanel for nails, ysl for touche eclat, bit of a tart for lips. Clarins/Clinique for skincare if in need of dramatic refresh, otherwise P20 sunblock and Eucerin for moisturising.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0

I tend to buy whatever is cheap - currently NYC at Superdrug.0

I will never, ever buy any other eyeshadow than Urban Decay. I'm 34 and sometimes wonder if I look like mutton dressed as lamb, but the colours are so vibrant, come in so many different finishes and last for ages. I think they are well worth the £11 per pot! I haven't had one yet that I've got bored with.Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -
Mac, bourjois &max factor for everyday.
