Hi I'm flying to Sydney via Dubai with emirates and I'm wondering what the flight meals with emirates are like? I don't really like plane food so I was going to order a fruit platter but i cant find any information about it and was wondering if anyone has had the fruit platter before if so what was it like?

Any information would be appreciated

Thanks

I flew with Emirates recently to Melbourne and honestly the food was the best bit of the flight - apart from the fact that there wasn't enough of it!

I'm not fussy, but did find the food better quality than other airlines. However, we were only served two meals and a "snack" (small chocolate bar) on a 14 hour daytime flight and no extra drinks service. I got very hungry and thirsty during the flight to the point where OH asked the flight attendant when the next meal service was.

They do have a lot of options if you join Skywards and select them. I'm pretty sure you could also choose to have the vegetarian option on the plane as well.

No airline food is great in economy, but I've flown Emirates a few times and their food is as good, if not better, than most. In general, I really like Emirates - their onboard entertainment system is as good as anyone's - and are always one of my first choice when flying East.

I like the food on Emirates better than Normal. you usually get a choice of a rice dish and something else.A salad dish, roll , sweet. crackers cheese. If you need extra drinks you just ask for them and they will bring it to you or as a lot of people were doing just going up for it. i

I was in Dubai on business and was stopping at the Novotel at the place they have trade shows. Got talking in the bar to people at the show and it turns out that it was a show on aircraft meals.
The one airline that asked about quality - and didn't care about the price were emirates.
I've always found their meals to be larger than any other carrier. The trays are actually overlapping the drop down trays and are full. Compare that to the pitiful meals you get transatlantic.
Overall, the best I've had in the sky (cattle class) easily

I flew the A380 Dubai- Sydney and the food and service were excellent. Easily the best inflight service from any airline economy class. Unfortunately the next sector, Sydney - Auckland was really poor, it was the same plane i had just flown on but the crew and standards changed dramatically.

That quote sums up a lot about Emirates. It's an airline which doesn't need to make a profit - it's entire purpose is to bring as many people to, and through, Dubai as possible. It does this by offering as good a service as I've had in the air, even in economy.

Whenever I fly to SE Asia, I tend to fly Emirates via DXB rather than direct as it's much cheaper, the service is good, and it's nice to be able to stretch your legs halfway (though Dubai airport must serve the most expensive Guinness in the world!)

Hi i agree with all the above. We flew emirates to dubai last year and it was a brilliant. The food was better than any other airline we've used hands down.If it wasn't for the fact i've had to use my virgin airmiles this year, we'd definatley use them again.
