Sky TV Package Prices Increase 2009

Its that time of year when Sky increase their subscriptions to Sky TV

As from 1st September, the following prices are believed to be implemented for new and existing customers.

1 mix - 6 mix are up £1 on 1st September

1 mix - 3mix + sports 1/2 are down £1

4 mix - 6 mix + sports 1/2 are same price

1 mix - 3 mix + movies 1/2 are same price

4 mix - 6 mix +movies 1/2 are up £1

1 mix - 3 mix + sports mix are same price

4 mix - 6 mix + sports mix are up £1

1 mix - 3 mix + movies mix are same price

1 mix - 3 mix + movies mix are up £1

1 mix - 3 mix + sports mix + single movies are same price

4 mix - 6 mix + sports mix + single movies are up £1

1 mix - 3 mix +movies mix + single sports are same price

4 mix - 6 mix +movies mix + single sports are up £1

1 mix - 6 mix movies mix + sports mix are all up £1

These are the Sempember 1st price increases for Sky TV.

Additionally the full VAT will return on 1st January so everything will go up 50p except
the 1 mix - 6 mix movies mix + sports mix which will have the £1 put back on.

True but in case you havent noticed they do ask phone questions here also,and the phone and broadband prices affect the overall cost if members are seeking to save wonga.:D:D

I got my letter today too. How the hell does VAT going back up from 15% to 17.5% on ~£45pm equate to £1?! And does anyone remember their claim about the prices going down when VAT was reduced?

Package prices were reduced by 50p or £1; multiroom & HD subscriptions were reduced by 25p.

Similarly, Sky is preparing to implement the anticipated VAT rate increase by rounding the prices in a similar fashion to how they implemented the reduction.

I'm sure Sky send me a letter every few months saying my contract is going up in price. Think they should introduce a loyal customer discount. I would leave them but I'm sure they are still the cheapest option for what I want. Greedy !!!!!!s!!!
