  • Personally, as a University student who has come home for the summer holidays, I still find cheques very useful. In particular, I send cheques through the post to my housemates for my share of any bills that arrive when I'm away. I feel safer sending cheques than cash.
  • cheques used to be handy for me a few years back, i could go shopping 3 days before i got paid lol, infact i did it quite a lot:eek:

And people wonder why supermarkets, banks, etc. are so keen to get rid of them!
    What would William Shatner do?

(And I'd far from call it quaint; it is yet another sign of the British obsession with a class system that serves no purpose other than to render vast swathes of the population invisibly subservient through no basis other than self importance and with no consideration of merit.)

Awww, did Lizzie miss you off of her list again?:rotfl:

I wonder if " Sir Fred " has that on his cheque books?:D

No, I just come from a land with no titles.

And I don't understand titles on cheque books etc. - you don't sign them. Well, I doubt he signs "Sir Fred" anyway.

Just put the name you sign with and be done with it.
