Me too...I was sat earlier having a few tears thinking about how it was a week ago already since leeds and how you guys on here know more about me and my life than any of my so called "local real" friends (although I count you as my real friends too :))

I dont have many local friends. Maybe I'm orrible and you lot havent seen me enough to realise it yet :o

I wonder how many people actually do have loads of local friends these days. It seems people are so much more shut off from their neighbours these days.

I was watching something about the war the other day and it struck me what a community really was. I really don't think it exists now.

:rotfl: Sounds like something I would do

I got off train in Brum at platform 1 - lugged suitcase (which was heavy due to having two bottles of wine in it that had been returned to me by hotel reception after being confiscated the night before) up steep steps.

Train leaves from platform 12 - so walk all the way to 12 and down steep steps before I realise I have time for a burger so back up I go....to burger king. Back down steps before I realise I am back on platform 1...back up steps to platform 12....sit down to eat burger and chips before I hear the train leaving platform 9b will be MY TRAIN!

I left my chips on the floor ran up the steps again with heavy suitcase....down to platform 9b to watch the train leave.......back up steps of 9b and back down steps of 12b to finish cold chips....I was nearly crying at this point...
