Sally if you are interested send them an email - its quite a lot of work and you'll need a team of people - including someone to measure the course and to help do the laptops results and marshall each week...

They recommend you run some of the races first as well to see the kind of thing they are going for with atmosphere etc :D

They are very friendly though and will give you loads of advice and help with the council etc to get funding :D

Was thinking if I got it at Halfords I could get it tomorrow. Never had much patience me :o Don't know if I should be spending any more money, I'm supposed to be trying to pay off my credit cards, but my nike + thingy is a wee bit pants, and it would be good to check my heart rate.

toto hunny, I'm sorry you are having such a crap week hunny xxx

Beanie- ((hugs)) I hate it when my friends are sad.

I have to say, I am rather jealous of my childminder-she has a really close bunch of friends (like you lot) but they all live close by and have girly weekends (well, I guess we do that as well!) but they can pop rounds for a cuppa etc and I wish I could do that with you guys xxx

I was thinking just that the other day. I think it was just after Sammy came round. I realise I don't have local girly friends who I can pop around and have a cuppa with. It would be lovely.

My job was quite isolating in that way, the industry doesn't have too many friends in it, just lots of people who want to progress their careers. Don't get me wrong, I do have lots of mates who are musos but they all live miles away and are usually busy touring or working. I do get lonely a lot and it's not as if I can get involved in the community is it, they all hate us here.

    Thank god for you lot.

Maybe someone should have warned you - racing is addictive :p:p

See I'm not at the point of racing yet, I'm still at the point of getting really excited if I make it round without stopping

I know it's no consolation but I have no friends down here. If I'm not out at a run on a weekend, the only person I will probably see is DH
