    ones.
It's also help to stop the idiots that start too far back and then weave through and past people to get to the front like last weekend.

Sorry nipped out to buy lunch and got distracted by the band in the park - free lunchtime concerts :D

I think some people got caught up last week in Leeds by the loo queue and then got stuck - London does staggered starts in pens which really helped me (although its done on the time you enter on the form and thats months before the run so a bit silly) as I was in Pen 3 and it took 20 seconds to cross the start line - felt bad for Hypno - hers was miles back!!

I wonder if more serious races set more strict time limits - I'm not a club runner but I prefer to run in a race where I am at the bottom of the field because its good to see lots of people ahead of you - makes me try harder for next time :D, but then maybe they dont want to be seen as too 'exclusive' either and put off newbies...

My favourite two races to date were mixed but still mostly good standard - St Albans and Blackpool...

For example, in St Albans I came 88th in category and 442nd overall out of 831, but place 650th was only 10 minutes slower than my time so it was tightly packed even though I was in the second half of the field...thats an okay standard but it was still thin at the top - the top 30 places were spread over 10 minutes - so I'd prefer a race where the top 100 are spread over 10 minutes even if that means I'm in position 650th because lots of good runners around you make you try harder - I got my best ever WAVA in that race...no surprise considering the quality and I started on the frontline (by mistake I might add ;))

Anyway, enough thinking about that...for today at least :p, not really answered any questions more pie in the sky thinking really!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
