Which "next" weekend? (I always end up having this discussion!) Do you mean the one that starts in 2 days, or the one in 9 days?

The Science Museum has interested my 2 and there were lots of hands-on things for them to do. The Air & Space Museum is either across the road or along the road.

If the children are interested, at Salford Uni there is a model of a Victorian Street called Lark Hill Place which is on the site of the library. It used to be free to go there & park but I've not been for years - hopefully someone else can let you know on that one.

Yes - there's a huge Family Fun Weekend on at Heaton Park this weekend (27th & 28th) :D I saw the posters earlier today, thought it might interest the OP if we're talking 2 days' time. Okay Jinkles? :rotfl:

Damn, that rules out that event at Heaton Park. I'll have a dig through the MEN & Advertiser tomorrow and see if I can find anything special listed for the July weekend :D

The science museum is good, the Lowry outlet mall for shopping and food court.(opposite where you will be staying). Lots to do in central manchester, theatres, good resturants etc.
