Center Parcs Occupancy Help Please!

Me, hubby and little daughter are looking at Centerparcs for Christmas. She is 2 at the end of October - about 7 weeks before we go. If we declare her true age, they will make us get a villa rather than an apartment and it will cost an extra £300!! She does not need her on bedroom and will only sleep in a travel cot anyway. We couldn't put her in the bed anyway - she would fall out! Do you think we will get away with putting her birthday back a couple of months on check in? has anybody ever tried this? Can you see any potential problems? I'm a bit too honest but hubby is trying to persuade me! Thanks!!

You will be absolutely fine doing that! They do not check ages - just needed for their records.

We often bend the truth with our daughters age to save the £'s - they do not have any "Age Police"! and you will not encounter any problems - so stop worrying and book it up!!

What location are you planning on going to? Longleat is our favourite.

Thanks for your reply ojc. Thinking of Whinfell. Been before and it was lovely, but noticed that she would be just over their age policy for the room this year. Might be daring and chance it! I guess it's just insurance wise if she got injured or anything at the park we would be in trouble, although I never let her out of my sight so not too worried about that! We only live 40 mins away so won't need to use the CP Dr. I'm such a worry head!

Ha-ha, just don't take her to any kids clubs or babysitting clubs where they ask her how old she is - and she proudly responds 2!

My DD did this once to me, when we were trying to sneak her in a week past her birthday. At the gate I was asked how old they were and I mumbled she's 5 ... she loudly proclaimed, no Mummy, it was my birthday last week and I'm 6 now - did you forget!! OMG - how embarrasing!!!

Thanks ceebeeby and hethmar for the replies! Think I will chance it this once with her being so near the cut off age. I know it could be a problem with the activities so we will just stick to swimming and cycling - nothing where she will get asked her age!

We shared a four bed villa with friends and one of their sons was 2.5yrs when we went and they said it was fine as long as he could use the cot. He did and they didn't mind us having 9 in a 4 bedder.
Activites can be a problem, as they do require ages. My son missed an activity by 2 days :( It's an insurance problem IF there is an accident.

Which CP are you thinking of going to? Not all the 1 bedroom accommodations have a cot, though you could possibly get round that by asking if they will allow you to take a travel cot. I just looked up some 1 bedroomed accommodations at a couple of CP and some say they have no baby furniture either. I'm guessing this is a highchair they are meaning. don't know if that would be an issue to you? I can't remember what if any other baby furniture they have. Also one of the accomodations said it couldn't accomodate a baby.

I haven't looked thru thoroughly so can't say that every 1 bed place at each CP would not be possible for you to go to, but thought I'd mention it so you can look into what will suit your family.
