Problems loading Microsoft programmes

All of a sudden, I can't load Windows Media Player, Microsoft Outlook or Internet Explorer. I have tried re installing them but I get an alert saying they are already on my PC!

I'm using Vista.

What's gone wrong?

Well this is getting crazy now. I clicked on the AVG icon on the bottom of my screen and Internet Explorer has loaded! What's that all about? AVG reports no problems.

I wouldnt put too much faith in AVG if I were you

Using internet explorer download FIREFOX (In case internet explorer fails again)

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')

UPDATE and FULL SCAN
Post the log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

I use Google Chrome usually, but some sites will only open in Explorer. I have downloaded malwarebytes and doing a full scan. I have to go out for a while but will post log when I get back.
