How is she getting away with it??

You are totally right baab, Ive got to take a step back. Its just really difficult to do so after what she has done!0

If she takes home £1200 a month then she quite possibly could be in excess of the £100 the OR will allow but lets face it, it's not a huge amount, if that was her gross wage then i would imagine she'd be within the £100 allowance, the OR might already know and she is within the limit, sounds like she's forced your brothers hand though, she's got in there first with the BR, now he's saddled with the debt, if your brother has assets then i sympathise if not, then he needs to follow suit and BR himself and get rid of the debt also.0

markbass: thats exactly what I told him. He just has a car needed for work, worth around £800 and no other assets. Hes just miffed that his credit rating is going to be screwed by the BR (he had an exemplary credit file and score until now)!!!0

If he was financialy tied (as he must have been if he has become liable) his credit record is all redy stuffed, and will only get worse if he cant pay the creditors demands on what he has been left with.
To be fair thats not just her fault, the creditors and DCA's use the CRF as a threat, so lodge what they like to pressure money out of the debtorThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -

How much debt has he got? remember debt is not good, if you want a holiday save for it, if you want a newer car save for it, manage your money to get the things you want....wish i would have done those three things and i wouldn't have had to go bankrupt yesterday!!... listen you can get by without a decent credit rating, we're conditioned to believe otherwise, my parents used to go on expensive holidays every year, my father never had a brilliant job just an average paid job, but he'd work overtime, stayed in and save instead of going out every weekend and blowing 60 or 70 quid ...everyone used to be so envious every year when they went away on their carribean cruise three week trip to mexico...but they were just excellent at managing their money!!....shame it never rubbed of on me...lol but hey...you live and learn, and to be honest i couldn't care a less about a credit rating, credit means debt, and debt needs paying, all money at the end of the day and you may aswell save instead of paying out similar amounts to loan companies and lining their pockets with all the interest on top...tell your brother to go for it, it'll do him good..he'll just have to adopt a different mind set thats all.
