Hi all
I will looking to start a long term ISA after cancelling my pension payments as i'm a basic rate taxpayer making only minimal payments toward a pension .
I'll be checking to make sure I'm making the right decision by doing this, but if I decide to go this route, can anyone please offer any advice on this type of ISA?
Thanks

... you could look at https://www.moneyextra.com to get some advice of a sort.
It depends too if you want to invest in cash or stocks and shares.
They have a service where you put in your attitude to risk and it comes up with their top 5 unit trusts. The problem is past performnce is never a guide to the future etc. etc. so it is not easy, I have been looking for myself.
They have a similar comparison service on cash ISAs.
On one of Martin's earlier bulletins he highlighted an offer for 'What Investment' for about £1 for 12 issues and I took up the offer. My mind is still 'boggled' in fact possibly more so. You need to decide on a sector first and I can't even do that!

You prob need to seek some professional advice from an IFA, as they will look at your individual circumstances. I personally wouldn't get one that keeps commission.0
