car clubs and excess protection insurance

If you join a car club there is a excess to pay [connectbyhertz is £250 per hire]. So even though it is only £3.95 an hour (fuel inc.) if unlucky it could cost £253.95! I checked and the excess insurance sold by Questor covers for Car rental clubs. This is great news! (Apologies if this has been covered already!). I hope this info will help anyone thinking of joining a car rental club but put off by the excess risk.

Questor currently charge GBP 10.92 for extra cover use within 150kms of your home. My quote today for 2 drivers was GBP 54.60 looks very good value.
