my sister had a few deep scars on her face - she is now 17 and whilst you can still see them I personally think it adds more character to her face and they are part of who she is. Actually like Jane said, they do just look like freckles! They don't bother here in the slightest.

I would def recommend Bio-Oil and the sooner applied the better, continuous usage as well as you don't really see any effect unless you've used it for at least 3 months.

Buy it online and research prices - I got a HUGE bottle for £12 from Amazon and it was about £20 in Tesco. I use it religiously twice a day and (touchwood) no stretchmarks yet! I also used it on surgery scars and they are very faded!

Where does the time go?

I had chicken pox at 8 and had some enormous deep pits afterwards. I think I have one left, and that's right on my sternum where the skin's really thin.

DD had chicken pox Feb last year and has several scars which are gradually fading away. She does have two very deep pock marks on her forehead, but even these are gradually fading (she's 4 by the way).

Definitely a case of wait and see, but using bio oil or wheatgerm oil may well encourage them to fade.

Wait till they heal then you can use bio-oil at night. But remember to use sun cream on them as if they are exposed to the sun they may darken.

My boys had them last year and the scars have faded, they have a few but tbh you don't notice them. (DS2 has two on his face and I'm trying to spot them...but he was making mud pies earlier:rolleyes:)
