I bought a cd rom from a virgin newbie with zero feedback. The poor chap listed at 99p with free postage. I got it for the asking price, knowing how much it would cost to post I didn't expect to recieve it, but it came today in the post, promptly and well packed. The poor seller paid 76p for postage on top of ebay and paypal fees so lost on the sale.

I'm feeling so guilty i might just paypal them the extra £4

I would just leave them glowing feedback. he probably wont under price his items again. Just think you have given him a learning experience. So you have done him a favour

on balance turkish what you have just said there is that instead trying to find a legitimate supplier abroad, because that’s risky, they should try buying of ebay then relisting at a higher price, not at all risky ..
we buy off ebay (a very risky strategy and not at all recommended unless you are totally sure what you are doing.)
    Ignoring this bit then?
Yes there are of course reputable suppliers out there, but they supply other people too, people who probably know what they are doing a lot more than a rookie seller, and have the feedback and customer base to support it. You'd have to be incredibly lucky to compete. (maybe you were.)
And at the moment there are more people trying to sell. We see it all the time in our business- competitiors come along, and two weeks later we buy their stock off them because they don't know what they are doing.
One thing I would say to anyone who is thinking of selling anything in this kind of way, is keep meticulous records, not just for the tax man but so that you can see exactly how much money is going where, and if it starts to look bad then it is easier to get out before it gets scary.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p
