Of course your right, there’s nothing people can do if they want to sell on ebay, but that doesn't mean people should not come on hear and have a good moan about it!

Cyril: HOW can you make a good living on there? What is the secret? I've tried for nearly ten years now to get decent sales on ebay, and all I've done is make ebay richer.

It's easy. Know your market and stick to what you know!

I easily make 5 figures profit per year with little or no effort as it's just a hobby.

So is that just to make me jealous or are you going to share with me how I can do this? I am long term unemployed, not on benefits, and need to earn.

Yeah, tried all that. Still not selling. I did do quite well with comb binding machines, then the supply dried up, and that was that.

The only way around it i've heard (not tried myself) is to offer free p&p for collections THEN charge for 1st class royal mail etc as an additional service. Another method is to post it in the wrong section and avoid the p&p limitations but you'll have less chance of people finding it and ebay might find out.

Actually, I thought this forum was a place people came together to share what they know, not to crow that they are making loads of money to those who are struggling to survive.

If people ask me about a certain subject on which I happen to be an expert, I tell them straight; I help them. I don't respond obtusely or in riddles.

Bundly there is no real secret. We were backed into a corner financially and just started selling. Now ebay is our main source of income. You just have to be smart with your listings, and find something you know.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

Dry your eyes fella. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who isn't going to share his "secrets" regarding how we make our money. Why should we?

Everyone appears to be looking for a quick fix and then wonder why it goes wrong, instead of playing the long game.
