Hassle Leaving Virgin

Hi all, i'm after some advice regarding leaving virgin.
Basically they upped my BB from £12/month to £25 witout telling me that the £12 deal was just for 12 months. I phoned them up 5 weeks ago and asked them to cancel all of my services with them.
The girl informed me that her computer would not let her cancel my services because there was a bill outstanding on the account. At that time i had no money in my account to pay it so i'd said, its not my problem what your computer can and can't do, i'm telling you/giving you notice to cancel my services.
Anyway they've billed me again even tho i've disconnected all my virgin equipment up to july 22nd for a service that i clearly said i didn't want. I've called them again today and the girl said i hadn't gave 30 days notice because of the outstanding bill.
I told her i won't be paying for a month of BB that i don't want and had given ample notice i don't want it.
Where do i stand?
Thanks!
