HSBC Current Account Application

hi guys
any one applied for a HSBC Current account online recently?

can it be opened online, or do u have to go in branch to sign documents?

any advice appreciated.

    Yes it can be opened on-line but they are slow.

    Go into a branch and get it done.
  • trouble is i dont get time mon sat as i work in the middle of nowhere............so i take they do e verification for account opening
  • dont bother hsbs are awful bank dont listen to your problems and charge you stupid amounts!

    OH opended one 18th June online (through Quidco £50)
    Letter asking for signature arrived today with postage paid return envelope, so not too slow and no need to visit branch.

    Yup, same here. Applied via Quidco for some cashback and to allow future applications for 0% cards, signature paperwork sent away yesterday. No problems.

    Considering you can't spell or have proper grammar I suspect HSBC aren't the ones to blame here.

    HSBC are good to you if you are good to them. Otherwise, they are a *****. Their new charges are not too bad either.

    However if you can, branch it, otherwise you don't have a choice really!

  • had a hsbc account a few years ago basic account, they closed it but gave no reason there was over 1k of money going in there every month anyone know why they would have done this?:confused:
    Aqua card - £250 Limit up to date, Jd Williams £150 limit up to date, Argos store card £400 limit up to date, Next £300 limit up to date.:beer:

    Suspected fraud.

    By law they have to close the account ASAP and do not have to give exact reasons. Unfortunate really.
