Bumping this up for you.
I have not got a clue with calculations sorry......:o.
Marshallka is the one here for that, hopefully she will be along to take a look for you soon.
How are are you on the reclaiming process?
Have you started this yet?
Only to state that when writing to reclaim you do not actually require the figures at this point, but they will be useful later on if you need to compare them on an offer.
But if this account is settled, they should pay back every penny of PPI you paid, plus the interest and possibly the 8% of what a court would award.
Good luck and ask for further help if required.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Are these the settlement figures from when you repaid your loan?
If so then the £1968 is the rebate of the £6750 premium. Meaning that if you were to reclaim and be successful, they should repay you £4782 in premiums paid.0 -
If you challenged this in the right manner you would get far more back than quoted by the lender and anywhere else to date. You should be entitled to the full premium back plus any commission paid and interest on top. You should be looking for nearer £10,000 as an estimate.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0 -
I was with paragon as well, can you tell me the address to send the letter to, and has anyone had success claiming from them?

Checked on Companies House, and added Paragon Finance in the search box and came up with this here:
Name & Registered Office:
PARAGON FINANCE PLC
ST CATHERINE'S COURT, HERBERT
ROAD, SOLIHULL
WEST MIDLANDS
B91 3QE
Company No. 01917566
If you any paperwork at all on these, check the company number to make sure it matches.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I have been trying to claim back PPI from Paragon for the last couple of years. After hitting and missing with a dodgy claims company (7 Marketing - don't go there!) I now have a professional on the case and hope that I will eventually get some sort of redress for this whole unfortunately financial fiasco!!
Paragon are very challenging and I would advise that you need to be super tenacious and very committed and driven to taking them on - Go for it and get the dirty biscuits were it hurts! LOL!0 -
that doesnt sound good then
I dont really want to pay anyone to do it but it might actually be better in the long run maybe, and its money I didnt have anyway I suppose?
hope you get it sorted soon and I hope I havent got a couple of years waitMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

There is no reason why you should pay for help these days as there are one or two companies offering assistance without charge. Their fees are added to your claim amount and billed to the lender so you pay nothing win or lose.
Settlement is being sought in 5-7 months in the majority of cases.
The only stipulation to use this service is that you must have at least £2500 ppi premium on your agreement.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

I am always a bit dubious about that? Why would the lender pay the company for the privilege of shafting them out of their money? Surely its really coming off the money we would have been given but worded and set out differently?
Am I being too synical????MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
