Mobile phone purchase - not as described
Hi chaps
I recently purchased a pay-as-you-go mobile phone from one of the main UK networks via their website. The specification of the mobile I purchased clearly stated that the handset was a quad-band phone although on delivery I have read in the manual that it's actually dual-band and verified this on the manufacturers website.
Is there any course of action I can take to prompt the network to provide me with a handset of a similar specification as the one I thought I was purchasing?
On contacting the network I was advised to return the handset where I could then pay an additional £30 to purchase a quad-band phone despite thinking I'd purchased a quad-band handset in the first place.
Thanks in advance
Lester

If you have been mis-sold a product you are entitled to a refund, but i am fairly certain you cannot force them to discount a higher priced item because they made an error with the first one. If it was direct from the network i again will be fairly certain this is a genuine error and not an attempt to decieve0

You're only due a refund there's no onus on them to offer anything else, sorry.0
