What about best new deals for someone looking to switch networks? Me and my girlfriend have both over-run our Orange contracts buy a few months. We pay about £30 a month but want to switch because all the other networks seem to have better tarrifs for the same price. Any recomendations? ( hope i've spelt it right? )

Just phoned Orange to ask if there was any fee or hidden charges in getting my PAC number. When asked why, I told I could get a better offer with Vodafone. ( 200 minutes & 250 text + new phone ) She said that she could match the tarrif I was given by Vodafone. I said I'd get back to them. Can't really lose now. I'll just have to find out which network can offer me the Sony Ericsson W810, then I'm away. :rotfl:

I thought I'd phone 02 and see if they could do me a deal on an upgrade. My current spend is £30 Wanted the Nokia N90 but "they" dont do that model. I told her I could get it on 02 elsewhere (various websites) but still no chance of her offering me that phone. She said that she could supply the N91 from the 8th but when I asked the cost she didn't yet know! Sometimes I wonder what the point of "customer service" is. I'll just shop around and have to change my number I fear.

Keep your phone - buy a pyg sim from virgin
opt to pay quarterly by direct debit
best price - only pay for what you need - save loads

Pay for mobile phone calls? Pay for line rental?

Get a free phone with free linerental with mobileshop https://www.mobileshop.com and 02 250 mins and 100 texts (double in first three months), with £25 through quidco.com (Nokia 3120 cashback deal). However for the OP this may not be the best deal, because you would then end up paying for your other texts. £16 for a bolt on of 400 texts.

The reason why this sounds like a good idea is you then may get a good retention deal at the end of the year. Do look at what deals you can get through cancelling first.

Agreed flext seems like a good idea, but you don't seem to get that good an offer on T-mobile at the moment, and flext are all 18 months only deals.
