Has anyone else noticed that Halifax-online login has changed?
they are asking me for all sorts of details....
is this a scam? has someone taken over their page?
or is it just my computer?
or are Halifax just being extra-secure?

I have logged into Halifax online with no problems, the link https://www.halifax-online.co.uk/_mem_bin/formslogin.asp

it hasnt changed apart from the address bar showin as green amber or red dependign on the site for security. how do you access the website via a link or favoutites just type in halifax.co.uk dont go through google they had loads of problems with this a few weeks ago0

STOP. DO NOT LOG IN.
If you are being asked for more security details than you expect, the most likely explanation is that your computer has been infected with a virus. This virus will change the look of the Halifax page to ask for all your security details, and then send them off to scammers in Russia or wherever so that they can raid your account.
This can happen even if you navigate to the page directly by typing the address into your browser.
Make sure you do a full virus/spyware scan, etc.0 -
No change for me, save for them asking if I want to register for "green" paperless statements.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0

I'm going to run a virus scan now.
I did try logging in already, so it may already have got all my details.
Usually it asks for username, password & one question....
mine currently asks for:
Username
password
mothers name
fathers name
first school
secret question
secret answer
place of birth
i'm going to try & contact Halifax to reset it all.0 -
If ever you feel something is fishy about a bank log-in page, or an ATM, etc DO NOT USE IT.0
-
Call Halifax's online security department on 08456 02 00 00 IMMEDIATELY to have everything reset and your account blocked.
Also, call every other bank/building society that you have accounts with and ask them to block your account or reset your logon details. It is better to be safe than sorry.
As well as that, using another computer that isn't infected, change the password to anything else that you usually log into.
Finally, make sure you run a full virus scan and have the problem fixed before you logon to any other websites.0 -
