Help with a Vodafone Contract
My contract is due to end today (23/06/2009) and ive been constantly been contacted by Vodafone over the past month on and off wanting me to upgrade.
Now ive just moved into my 1st home and got a new car also and have been shopping around for the past 2 months to find the best deal available to me, and in the past 3 weeks iv gone to Orange on a 1 month rolling sim only deal saving me around £30 a month compared to my contract plan.
Now i was supposed to recieve a call around a week ago from someone at Vodafone regarding my contract which i want to cancel.
I phoned Customer Services and they want a written letter with 30 days notice to cancel a contract that as of 12am is no longer valid. (this wasnt said by the person that called me)
To say im annoyed is an understatement , which also means il be more annoyed when another bill comes through for another months billing on a phone I wont be using and will be switched off.
Is there anything that I can do with regards to this as im not exactly rolling in money.
Iv sent an email to the customer services department and im waiting on an email back, any help from anyone will be much appreciated
Thanks,
Manwell

You can ask for your PAC code which they will give you immediately and then you can give it to your new provider who will transfer over your old number in a matter of days, thereby ending your vodafone contract.

Hi Manwell,
It's a shame to hear of the problems you've posted about here but I'm sure I can help you to get them resolved - if they haven't been already.
Firstly, I'd like to reassure you that I do work for Vodafone as part of their Web Relations Team and so am well placed to help you with this. If you could send me an email to webrelations@vodafone.com with your mobile number together with the link to this thread from the address bar of your web browser I'll then be able to take a look at this and get back to you with a resolution.
If this has already been resolved just let me know.
Thanks,
Lee

You can always PAC code transfer to another PAYG sim to speed it up if you dont want to change the orange sim number

Is this a new service for web relations due to the high number of complaints0 -
Hi fatboy88,
Web Relations is a new team which Vodafone has introduced to look out for Vodafone customers who may be experiencing some difficulties getting answers to their queries and have chosen to look for help from sites such as MoneySavingExpert.
When we come across such cases we will looking to help answer these queries and ultimately get things resolved where we need to.
Is there something which we can help you with at all.
Thanks,
Lee

Hi Kirsty, i've sent another email about a small issue with the timing of the change of over but overall the service from the web relations is a lot better than when you ring 191. Thanks to Matt for sorting most of the issues out
thanks0 -
Hi Kirsty, i've sent another email about my contract regarding the new bill i have received. It is different from what it says in my account price plan.
I dont mind paying what i agreed but i dont like when amounts arent agreed and most people probably wouldnt notice and this adds up to quite a lot. May i'm paranoid but i always feel these arent always mistakes
thanks0 -
Hi fatboy88
No problem
If we haven't got back to you already, we'll be with you as soon as we can.
I'm sure we can clear up whatever doesn't look right.
Thanks
