Vodafone contract question
My dad is currently in his last few days of contract on his vodafone contract he has been looking at upgrading and ive been browsing for a decent phone for him and found that some sites argos etc are offering a decent phone with a free wii, lcd tv or sat nav. What im wondering is could my dad cancel his contract with vodafone and get a new contract with one of the free gifts? he wants the one with the wii as he loves playing on mine and often borrows it from my house to take to his and i miss it lol. thanks in advance for your responses
Oh and could he keep his exsisting number?

You really need to check the value that you're getting with these deals. You will be paying way over the odds for the contract, and often you'll be paying more than the price of the Wii compared to what you could get elsewhere. In fact, going through retentions for a new contract and buying the Wii separately would probably be significantly cheaper."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? He is currently on a £35 a month contract with 900 mins and unlimited texts which he uses about 700 mins and sends about 400 texts as he needs the phone for work and the one we have been looking at is £35 a month with 600 mins and unlimited texts.0

Say you get a wii on a £30 a month, 18 month deal, thats £540 over 18 months, Thats enough to buy 3 or 4 wii's0

Conclusion? Think before you buy. These Wii deals are absolute rip offs. Do not even consider them. Go through retentions, try to slice the price down to £15 or £20 with a decent phone, and then buy a Wii separately. You will save money.
Of course, buying it separately it doesn't look like it's free and you will probably reconsider. Which is only right. It's so very easy to not see the figures for what they are and just take the 'Oh, he loves playing on the Wii, and its free with this tariff' attitude. In reality that Wii is costing you more than buying it from the high street. I reiterate- think before you buy."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE?
