    We finished a decking job using the carcasses of old kitchen units. It's given us an attractive patchwork effect and has proved to be surprisingly strong and resilient to the weather.

  • Tanks to whoever resurected this post as the information is timely for me.
    I am cash strapped and came across the idea of scaffolding as decking. I know it won't last forever, but was just wondering roughy how long it could last.

    Money2008, how long have u had yours?
  • I am designing a garden literally on the edge of the sea and want to use scaffold boards as decking - think it would look amazing - have read through this thread and find it v interesting (even if it is resurrected
    ;) ) I have used cedar decking in the past but just think the big boards would look so good.:smileyhea
