forgetting the actual points for shopping in tesco..

tesco card was 1pt every £2 on cc

now 1pt every £4 on cc

x by upto 4 on deals

so use original people get upto 1% value ( agree though its rarely worth this p- 2.5 - 3 X more likely)

For the halifax credit card it says it assumes a 50/50 split between petrol/food and other spending but it shows cashback as though all was spent on food/petrol.

I put in £1000 and it came back with £10 when it should have been £7.50

Ah sorry thats just a gremlin in the machine, good spot. will be updated shortly

The Boots one isn't as exact as it could be... I put in that I had 762 points, which I know is equivalent to £7.62 but it came back with £8. Not a big problem but you did ask for any thoughts! :)

The Nectar AMEX card is understated. You get 2 points when you spend at shops in the nectar program (like Sainsbury's). You also get 500 bonus points for every 500 in spend each month. So, if you spent £1,000 per month, 30% in a Nectar program shop (Sainsbury's, BP, Homebase, etc..), you end up with 2,300 points per month or £146 in annual value...not the £56 in the calculator.

    Hi billion25

I think that the Nectar double points when you spend £500 only lasts for the first three months
    1. If approved for the Nectar Credit Card you will receive double points everywhere you spend for the first 3 months of Cardmembership only. 4 points per full £1 consists of collecting 2 points on your Nectar Credit Card and 2 points on your Nectar loyalty card at participating partners. For every £500 spent on your Card, in any calendar month, you will collect 500 MorePoints on top of your usual base and bonus points. There is no upper limit. American Express and Nectar reserve the right to vary the rate at which points are collected. American Express may vary the APR, interest rates and other charges from time to time. Nectar points are not earned on Cash Advances, American Express Travellers Cheque purchases, Foreign Exchange and Express cash transaction, interest, any spending in excess of your credit limit, charges for dishonoured cheques, late payment or referral charges and American Express Credit Card finance charges. American Express reserves the right to vary the Nectar points you collect from American Express on spending at any Nectar partner. Written details are available upon request.

In general (excpet for exceptional deals like Amex Plat), we have valued cards at their long term return.

Also, all cards in the checker are valued for spending in general stores, not just one specific retailer

    Thanks for your feedback,

No Sub Prime cards then?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

It doesn't work in Sarafi (4.0) - the dropdown doesn't do anything.. no options or anything.

    Hi PROLIANT,

If you know of any sub-prime rewards cards, let me know and we'll evaluate them; I wasn't able to find any when gathering the data for the research,
