Hi folks,

We've rebuilt and updated our RewardsChecker, which lets you work out how much you could earn by spendiing on a rewards credit card, or the value of a loyalty points stash.

We'd love to get your feedback on it, espeically any bugs you find when clicking around, or just general thoughts. It is here:

I'm with Tesco and have been for a number of years. My understanding is that they changed their points structure for reward points but those who were on the original scheme still get the original points per transaction. Do not think this is reflected in my total.

Ditto! Was just pondering that myself!

Looks good. Seemed a bit light on M&S &More points, but perhaps thats because they send out a lot of "double your points" coupons.

The trouble with this is that Tesco points aren't really worth 4 times their value in deals. Because with just about all the deals you can get things cheaper than face value.
And even then you only get the full saving if you would have bought the deal in the first place.

We spend our Tesco points on deals, but in our heads call one point to be worth 2p.

I tend to get a free holiday (family of four) each Easter on Tesco. Wouldn't get this if my points total was as per this checker.

Agree totally with you, we struggle to use the points which is why we just do the Cosmos. I'm definitely sure we could get a better price elsewhere without using them.:T

Tesco's is definitely a bit wierd - definitely get more than that myself but I was an early adopter.

For the halifax credit card it says it assumes a 50/50 split between petrol/food and other spending but it shows cashback as though all was spent on food/petrol.

I put in £1000 and it came back with £10 when it should have been £7.50

I hope this isn't like when my boss gives me a letter to check for spelling/grammar/punctuation etc and then gets all moody if I find any errors!:D
