Orange Success - Sony W910i
Hi everyone thought i would post with my sucess from Orange.
I had a faulty phone from them replaced, the second phone had same fault as 1000's other people have had. kept rebooting, did system reset, firmware etc. still same.
Finally after a week after writing to them quoting Sale of Goods Act as per consumer direct. They are sending me out a new Nokia phone as a replacment as i was not willing to accept another Sony w910i due to previous issues.
Customer service from them been pretty good aswell. Must be all those people from the North East been really nice. Great success

What was your problem? My wife has the same phone and her calls keep dropping. I did ring them but they said they couldn't change it because it wasn't time for renewal. Orange shop said switch phone to 2G for beeter reception. He then did admit it wasn't a great phone. What should I do?0

Hi there Pacman, the phone kept rebooting. turning itself off mid call. would freeze up and then shut down.
Im not really the best to answer what you should do really.
I got my phone from Orange not their store but mailed from orange themselves. It was only abour 2 months before i called and reported this fault. they replaced phone instantly next day and same fault occurred. They have a responsabilty under the sale and supply of goods act to make sure the phone is fit for purpose. which mine was not and therefore replaced with a different model as i had no faith in it being replaced with the same phone.
If you got the phone from a store. im not sure where u stand really.
Im sure someone will come along and be able to answer you.0 -
They did a similar thing with me, upgraded me a year early once due to the handset being really faulty, it kept crashing and did it when I was on the phone to them about it a few times so think that maybe helped!!0
