After searching for a PAYG flip phone for a few weeks, decided on the Motorola V360, after pondering between that and the motorola V3.

Just found a MOTOROLA V360 PAYG phone (clearance argos just reserved for today) - not many around now as they are being discontinued. I did try to buy one off amazon on ORANGE but then got an email saying that they could not obtain one.

Never been with vodafone, only orange - anyone have any experience of them or opinions?
Thank you

Stop the Clock is good. Pay for the 1st 3 minutes of the call and the next 57 minutes are free after 7.30 and all weekend.

Where I live Vodafone is the strongest signal. Other than that I don't know how the actual service compares

Thank you kai666 for that, well I am about to find out because I went out and bought the MOTOROLA V360 vodafone PAYG. Hopefully I made the right choice! Thanks for the information - much appreciated.
  • If you use the phone for off peak calls then it probably is very good as Pay as you go. However if you are going to text a lot I would strongly recommend buying a text bundle otherwise you will get stung 12p a text, Probably the most expensive network to text on pay as you go.

Thank you Richard, I don't do much texting, well not yet anyway! If I did, how do you go about getting a ' test bundle', is it something you buy apart from topup? Sorry, this is all new to me! :o

I have only ever had one mobile before which I bought about 8 or 9 years ago, and only used it to phone in emergencies. Things have moved on and I never kept up! I shall have to read up.
  • Yes if you look on the vodafone websites under priceplans for pay as you go you will see the text bundles you can buy, but it may not be worth buying if you dont text alot.

Depending on how may you buy, depends on how much money you save, but they do expire after 30 days so you only get good value for money if you use up all the texts in the bundles.

If you do decide to do a lot of texting, you would be better to go with o2 or orange at the moment, as they both give you free texts if you top up each month.

Vodafone are excellent, stop the clock saves me an absolute fortune.

I think I have spent less than 4 pounds a month on my phone since i changed it to pay as you go, off a contract.
