I've been looking at Octavia Estates on Autotrader for a while. They seem to hold value well.

Regardless of your price relative to the other adverts, if you are not getting any interest then the price is probably too high, or there is some glaring reason.

    Would agree with this.

I've just sold my car for the same reason as the OP and had my car (an Audi A3) on autotrader for a week with no responses (except for those scam emails that we all get). Having spent a week trying to sell it and having no responses (like the OP, priced lower than other cars) I dropped the price and was inundated with responses.

To the OP. What price do you have the car on for? Is it slightly above a level that people will be looking for? Ie. if you have it on for £5250, it may sell quicker priced at £4950 as brings more people in.

Also, you say that it is priced favourably compared to others, are the others private sales or trade sales and if they are trade, how much lower are you from them? Remember, they will normally include longer MOT lengths and may service it prior to selling it so you have to take into account all the benefits of trade sales compared to private sales.

    drop the price

Have to agree with this. I sold an Audi A3 a few weeks ago and within hours of it being on the website I'd had two genuine buyers contact me for viewings. First guy actually turned up with cash in full and there was lots of other interest and annoying phone calls for at least a week after I'd sold it.

Get a valuation from Glass online (costs £3.50 which is nothing compared to the value of a decent car) to see if you're being realistic or not.
