Can anyone offer any help?0

I opened with Hargreaves Lansdown - they provided a section and the forms to transfer the shares from HB to them. Filled out the forms and posted them back. I would guess that sharecrazy would do something similar.
As to any cost, there is usually a fee for transfering to a new provider, but this fee is normally charged by the old provider for leaving and not the new one (HL do not charge for me to transfer my HB stuff to them). However, no-one seems to know here if HB are going to charge their leaving fees under this scenario, cannot find anything about it on their site.0 -

I can't post the link here, but in the email you received from HB there is a link to a faqs section, and in there they say there will be no charges for transfers. qoute belowWill I be charged to transfer to another broker?
No. Hoodless Brennan will cover any transfer charges to another broker.0 -
Thanks! Next time I will re-read rather than read and skim!0

ShareCrazy are changing too!
Settlement and Clearing providers to change from Hoodless Brennan to Jarvis Investment Management
There will be a slight change in the rates. The good news is that we intend to maintain the price per trade executed online at £9.99.
Jarvis apply a £5.00 per annum account charge for maintaining each account on their books, which we (Sharecrazy) will suffer for the first year only for existing clients, new clients however will have to pay this charge themselves.
So if you switch to Sharecrazy eg from HB, you'll pay £5 pa.0 -
for buying and selling individual shares HL seem expensive and that matters"enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0

A quick trawl shows:
iii 10.00 per deal + 0 fee (also operates Fool)
Fool 10.00 + 0 (some admin fees higher than iii eg transfer out)
Halifax 11.95 + 0
Share Centre 1% (7.50 min) + 2.50 pq
Self Trade 12.50 + 35 pa
Fidelity 9.00 + 5 pm
Share Crazy 9.99 + 5 pa (free for 1 more year if existing customner)
Can not comment on quality.
