I only get a major payment once a month so have to budget for all my bills then hence the use of the 'folder' otherwise come the end of the month, I've run out of money to pay them. If you are lucky enough to get paid more than once a month then I can possibly see why it would be frustrating the way it works now. I for one am just grateful that I have a bank with such a good reputation for fairness towards bankrupts. I have been told the on-line banking will be fixed and hope its soon, but for my peace of mind I will still continue to budget the 'old fashioned way'.BR 08/06/09 ED 10/03/10BSC member 2500

D/D can be taken it seems at any time,I have 10 D/D on the go and it is hard to know when they will or have been taken, even when they have been taken my bank does not show which one and the name of it until the day after, and the money for the D/D has to be there the day before it is taken? there are ways around it like pen and paper to keep records but is it too much to ask to know the day a D/D will be taken, the name of it,if I use my debit card for say £40 the shop will ring the bank to check I have that amount, will it be so hard for the bank to show that amount as taken?
you dont use a calculator and check all the answers on an abacus! or maybe some do.
The DD's and the amounts are all shown on the left hand side of the screen, they're shown in order of the date they've been paid, and the last date they were last paid. Once they're paid they go to the top of the list, the ones still outstanding will still show last months date.
If DD's are taken before the stated date you can claim a refund under the DD guarantee, they can be taken after the date you agreed to, but not before.
