Don't bother, the previous owners of our last house had fitted one and it was rubbish, cheap materials and not well fitted, we have just had a local company fit our kitchen in this house and it is far superior, well fitted and cheaper compared to Kitchens Direct.

DO NOT TOUCH KITCHENS DIRECT OR SPACE KITCHENS WITH SOMEONE ELSE'S SCABBY, 12 FOOT BARGE POLE!!!

Low quality. Poor service. Poor installation. Extremely expensive.

Do a search on MSE....they've been mentioned a great number of times over the years. Very seldom in a good way!

    Hi Skinback,

The thing is even though Kitchens Direct is totally rubbish as everyone has said they actually send someone round to the customer's home with hopefully a bit of design experience that can give them some ideas. This sort of service will always give a kitchen company an advantage over an internet based kitchen company.

Hmmmmmmmm you just want a design done? Remember the people who come to your house work on commission so do not get paid for doing the design, that can take hours and i'm speaking from experience, unless they get the sale it seems a bit unfair getting someone out when you do not have any intention of buying. You can do your own kitchen plan on websites such as IKEA very easily and change it as much as you want until you get something you like then take to a kitchen company and see if your plan would work.

No they wont. And even if they did leave it, it wouldn't be accurate. The sales people who come round have a VERY basic knowledge of kitchen design. They do an "approximate" design and if then you are foolish enough to go ahead with them, someone re-does the plan to make it fit properly, that's why they have so many problems with customers complaining about the plans changing...

A friend of mine went for an interview with them (they seem to be flooding the jobcentreplus website) and when he explained he had very little kitchen design experience, they simply said that it wasn't important, as long as he could produce drawings that could then be "adapted"

    Hi,

You will find that if all you want is someone to do a kitchen design for you then you will need to pay for this service. There are independent kitchen designers out there that do this service, one I found recently is:

    Good luck
