Forget the i-phone but what other options for Mac users?

My contract is due to expire with O2/Blackberry.
I have never been able to sync my i-calendar e.t.c. as the free download apps of the web have never worked. Need to save some time transferring data across different applications.
Is my only option the i-phone? If not what is the best choice - use it as a business tool - primarily email and text, some calls, and of course want synced address book and calendar.
Thanks

I have had a couple of Nokia (non-business) phones (7373, 6102) over the past couple of years and have successfully synchronised iCal and Address Book contacts using iSync. Sometimes you may need to download a third party plug-in to get it to work, but I have had good luck with it so far.
If you need any help setting it up with your mobile, the iSync support page may be a good starting point if you haven't been there before: http://www.apple.com/uk/support/isync/
This page goes over how to synchronise Blackberries with Mac OS X. http://www.blackberryinsight.com/2007/07/18/how-to-synchronize-my-blackberry-with-my-desktop-computer-mac-os-x/
From reading around, the application they mention, PocketMac, gets mixed reviews, but if you haven't tried it yet it might be a good option.
