BT have offered option 3 to me for 22.50 if i commit to another 12 months. I was thinking of switching away from them to someone like Be broadband. I must have unlimited downloads and can't use Virgin as I understand they frown upon what I download. Is 22.50 a month a good offer from BT? I have found customer service okish, when my hub broke they sent a new one straight away.

Do you think if I asked for one of their new hubs with the purported best wireless signal, would they give me one?

Decisions, decisions.

Just looked at Be website and looks like they are giving also £24 amazon vouchers atm, and only £17.50 pm

I also understand that I would not be without the internet at all? I just get a code from BT, give that to my new provider and switchover should be seamless, yes?

Hmm, also I could have say the mid range O2 one for 9.79pm. Also unlimited. But how is O2 customer service? Also, what would happen if I no longer had an O2 mobile, does it go up to the standard price mid contract or only change after?

O2/Be is provided by the same company and uses the same hardware (O2 own Be)

O2/Be is a million time better than BT

BT would probably give you a new hub

You would probably be without internet for a few hours on day of switchover

O2 customer service is excellent (O2 cs is uk, Be is in bulgaria)

It would go up to the standard price the month after you last qualified for discount (contract or topped £10 every 3 months on payg)

what a thorough response! Thank you so much. If I phone BT can I just get my MAC off them, give that to O2 and O2 do the rest? or do I need to cancel with BT? I am no longer tied into a contract with BT, it finishes on June 30
