Have a blackberry pearl. Need a contract.
Hi all.
I have a Blackberry Pearl, locked on Vodafone.
I'd like to use this phone, and sign up to a contract to enable all the features (ie - email and web).
I am aiming to sign up for the contract, and sell whatever phone comes with it on eBay.
Looking for help to decide on the best way to do this, and what the best value contract is right now.
I guess I may need to unlock the Blackberry also.
If anyone has any ideas on what may be the best path forward, it would be most appreciated.
Thanks

My OH recently got a good deal, and pays £20 a month on 3-MOBILE, which gets her:
A Nokia blackberry-type phone (which is better than the blackberry IMO;)
UNLIMITED internet
UNLIMITED txts
More free minutes than she could ever use!!
....and the talk about 3 MOBILE being unreliable: she tells me she has had no problems.
(For the record, I dont work for, or have anything professionally to do with any mobile phone company!!!)Profit=sanity
Turnover=vanity

Thanks!
Will I be able to get my emails on my Blackberry using this contract?
Will 3 let me use their contract SIM in my Blackberry which is not a 3G phone?
If so, sounds great! - And I'm off down to the 3 store right now!0 -
i agree 3 have great tarrifs- you will have to pay £5 extra for unlimited internet which includes the blackberry add on for the email/messenger serice.plus you'll need this so that you can register it i believe https://bis.eu.blackberry.com/html?brand=3uk0

Hi,
After a little search, the one my OH got is here:
http://threestore.three.co.uk/dealsummary.aspx?offercode=18UT20D090&bundled=0
Regarding receiving your emails etc through your own blackberry, I don't see why not, provided you get the phone unblocked from Vodafone, and the 3Mobile settings sent to the BB. Ask the salesman, be honest. Tell him you intend to use your on blackberry, and he will tell you exactly what you need to do with it!
They also do a sim-only deal, but it's £15 a month. You'd be best off on the £20 per month deal, then selling the Nokia phone on Ebay. Ebay phone buyers love to see 'Unused' and 'Brand New In Box' in a private sellers description.
.....Responding to the above post: the £20 per month deal includes all this:
QUOTE:
Nokia E71 Grey- HSDPA
- Full email support (Mobile office mail, Mail for exchange)
- 2.36”QVGA 16 million colours
- 110Mb internal memory with support for an 8GB micro SD card
- 3.2 megapixel camera
- AGPS including all UK maps pre-loaded on Memory
- It's exercise for your thumbs. You get unlimited texts, unlimited internet access, free Skype to Skype calls and messages, unlimited 3 to 3 minutes and 200 anytime, any network minutes to use every month with our £20 Texter offer. Fair use policy applies

3 don't allow none 3g phones on their network any more.
Plus, if you want push email to work you have to use a network that run Blackberry's as you need the BIS addon for data or you'll end up with a HUGE bill for it at the end of the first month. The BB connect's to the rim server about every 2 minutes to update and even if there's no new mail there it still has to send and recieve data and that mounts up over the month. . .0
