Blue Peter Badge Owners No Longer Free Entrance To Attractions

I checked this afternoon on the Blue Peter website whether my daughter, who holds a blue peter badge, could still get into Legoland free. Last year we purchased an annual pass for the rest of the family to Legoland but were pleased to realise we had one less to purchase due the the badge.
Blue Peter and their partners are not honouring this agreement. Our Legoland passes are valid until end of July and we had already booked at a Travelodge for 2 nights during Easter holiday to spend three days cheaply at Legoland. We will probably have to purchase an additional annual leave pass if we go to legoland but it will not run concurrently.
I have emailed BBC quering this decision. Apparently people had been selling their badges on ebay and they had decided enough was enough. Have also emailed Legoland to request they might honour her badge somehow until our others have expired. Any other suggestions? I am most annoyed.

this was on the news the other day.. because the badges are being sold on ebay, therefor enabling anyone to get into the places free and not people who have earned the badges then blue peter and the bbc have withdrawn all free entitlements of the badge..
have a look here. www.bbc.co.uk/bluepeterThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,

I'm sorry but I can't say I blame them for stopping it. It just goes to show how a few greedy people with a lust for money don't care how much damage they do to children as long as they get a few pennies for it. Both my children have blue peter badges, we've never used them to get free admittance to anywhere as just winning the badges was enough for them.
I'm probably going to get completely flamed for having this opinion but I don't give a monkeys. Taking advantage of every commercial loophole to get the best deal is one thing but trading for something that should be enjoyed by the child who won it is despicableOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

I admit if I had known that the little badge was a multi-pass to fun, I would have snapped on up ages ago0

My son won a blue badge and a silver badge when he was 8 and we never used ours - we think the merit value is enough kudos but the selling on ebay has devalued that.An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T

blue peter gave a statement out on their show the other night saying they are looking into a fair way for 'genuine' winners to still be able to use their badges and to give them time to implement this - they were very angry over the abuse of something which has been used to reward children for years - so, please be patient while they work on this......
all you who have used/abused the badge should hang your heads in shame - pathetic!!0 -
if you read the info on the blue peter site they state they are going to get some kind of security for the badges?? but untill then they wont reinstate all the freebies that go with a blue peter badgeThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
