Not Amber's school, it's a mainstream school. But they actively advertised at Amber's school making a huge deal out of taking special needs children. Obviously until they realise that our kids do take a little more work.
I wouldn't mind but they have provision in place (funding) for a 1 to 1 carer, so quite what this person is doing while she is off ringing bells and swinging on ropes I'll never know. On top of social services paying the £500 a week (which I had to pay for a while) I pay £20 per session, so financially they do ok out of her.
Hmmmm. so they are aware of Amber's needs and not meeting them, they have provision but not using it properly(it could be if it is private they are skimping on staff)
I really wish I knew what to suggest. I do think they are rude and frankly their reasoning/excuses are a lame - I mean two inciddents???? And if there is one to one then what is happening?

I would just like to say a big thanks to all those who made the weekend special. That includes the people left at home who still managed to join in with txts and messages on here of support.
I was well proud on going through the finish, not for me but for everyone who tried and actually managed to complete their first 10k. The weekend would not have gone as smoothly as it did without the help of Numpty, Ames and Cat who got up and came to watch at 8am in the morning. It was kind of you to look after my girls too.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Totally agree with what Sammy says. What I will also say is that I truely hope that this "race" has inspired some people who didn't think they could do it, to continue and carry on walking/running.
I am very proud of everyones achievements !I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
