Why they couldn't have said something after the last half term I will never know, but to just send me an email saying I'm not sending you a booking form because we don't want you, kinda sucks to be honest.

It's a totally rubbish day to choose, I'm feeling more than a little fragile today, not really up for a battle.

Ahhh toto that is so out of order! Right what are your options? The place she has got her restbite care, do they take during the day too? Is there anyone in social services that could help you get funding through quickly?

This is what I got.

Summer is quickly upon us once again ,I have had a meeting with the staff as we have had a couple of complaints from the head regarding Amber's behaviour (one complaint was about persistantly ringing the buzzer to the main door and the other was about swinging on the school ropes -both while having an angry outburst) The staff do feel that Amber is getting more difficult to manage and over the long summer she gets bored and becomes more disruptive.

well, surely it's their job to keep the kids active and not bored!!!!

Thats horrible and fancy putting it in a bloody email, they could have at least had the common courtesy of phoning you up or asking you to go in to discuss...

Her respite is for 2 days a month, so not much good and it took 9 years to get that so i don't hold out any hope of getting any more help.

Social services and to be honest, the world at large, seem to have the attitude that if you have a child like Amber your only option is to stay at home and live off £50 a week carers allowance.

I do love my kids, I really do, but I need to have a career, whatever that might be. I'm starting to think that I have no choice though. Isn't it funny, having a young baby is a piece of cake with childcare, having an autistic 11 year old is a nightmare.

The stupid ropes GRRR, they used to let the kids play on them. Then one day they decided to stop letting them do it, which Amber never understood. So rather than tie the ropes up they leave them hanging and wonder why Abs goes off for a sneeky swing now and then.
