    Hi everyone,

I hope it is ok to re-join? After all the bad news and studying etc over the last few weeks, I haven't been much on the computer.

Oh, I do start a new job on monday though. After 4 years at home, this has really boosted my confidence! So, I have to see how this all works out!

Thanks all for the welcome and thanks Toots for the very helpful PM. I will get started on today's list and see how much I can get done before the school run.

Lil_me glad that meeting your Dad’s new DP went so well, did you get on?

Welcome gsysezz, I bet you are really glad that you are having new radiators put in before you need to turn on the sick covered radiator! Mmm, lovely smells wafting around your house everytime it’s turned on!

Julie, I’d also wondered how Greenbee got so many steps. Thanks for putting your tips Greenbee, I’m definitely going to do the washing one. I already put away dry washing one item at a time but hadn’t thought of putting it out one item at a time. The most steps I’ve ever got was yesterday when I got 6454, but I’m getting fitter as that was a breeze and when I started I could barely do 3000! It’s helping being in a bigger house as you naturally have to do more steps, and I’ve been walking up and down the garden too.

Hugs Grateful are your fingers ok? Hows your tonsilitus?

Moj2 I bet your niece will have a great time at the Miley Cyrus concert. When is she going? Did you see her interviewed on Jonathan Ross?

Welcome This is it, and big hugs. Having a messy house can really affect your mood (I should know) and take it from me that following the lists really helps. I used to think I was allergic to housework, and it felt so overwhelming that I never knew where to start, but following the lists, and doing babysteps, taking things slowly but surely, you soon see a difference and everything seems much better

    Welcome Liamsmum

Tooch, I think the lady on Netmums who cleans her whole house twice a day has a problem

I've only got as far as p.8, so will have to catch up more later. DH has just got back from the driving range. I was feeling fragile this morning so have stayed in.
We had a great time with our friends last night. I also cleaned the front of the kitchen cupboards, boy did they need it, and it took me ages. Today, I've been loading the DW and collecting things from around the house and putting them in the kitchen - empty beer bottles, used plates/glasses etc.
Can I have a special award for cleaning my parents house, as I'm not really following the lists but am cleaning the dirtiest bits that never get done by them? Pretty please?

Thank you all for the support,Toots and Jo, I went to the local florist( only in the next street, why didn't I think of that!!!) and got 2 metres of cellaphane for £1 a metre and some lovely bleu ribbon and white ribbon for 40p a metre. Will wrap it up later on and show you the finished product, thank you all for the encouragement xx

So glad I done the kitchen this morning, came home from work and was able to put jacket potatoes, boiled potatoes and sausages on without having to look for a utensil or pot as they were all where they live!!

Wow, that looks fantastic. My DS was given a blue bear like that when he was born and he still adores him now 8.5 years later. Your friend will be delighted to receive such a thoughtful gift :-) Well Done!!

    Happy Birthday Carlsberggal!

That nappy cake looks great Toochoosey - I remember seeing one someone in work did and they had stuffed a baby outfit with nappies and it was standing in the middle - totally freaked me out cos it looked like a headless baby (I shudder thinking about it), but yours is gorgeous, your friend will love it. What did you end up getting for the mummy?

Can't remember everything else, except Holly falling off the chair, sorry really had to laugh!

Well nothing done for me today even at work, as spent all morning trying to find the local Morrison's (from the new office) as was sent out to get tins of coke for a meeting, not being very good with directions I ended up about 3 miles away and after eventually finding it, I got lost on the way back and ended up miles in the opposite direction - then I was asked when the (booked) buffet was coming to which I replied 'I'm just about to go and start making it'! Men! End result, no work done AT ALL today!

Housework will be a whizz after all that!
