Have just finished putting on 61 listings onto eBay (ok the majority were relistings!) and will need to do at least 20 a day to even make a small dent in the pile of stuff that I yet again have put in the living room. Guess it is going to be an early morning tomorrow to get the eBay stuff done to then clean the rooms.
Magnificent Monday ~ Living room, hall and stairs!
Level One
Declutter the floors
Declutter the flat surfaces inc. mantle.. even if you scoop it all into a box to deal with later!
Level Two
Vacuum the floors, stairs and sofas etc
Wipe any marks off the sofas
Dust and deweb!
Level Three
Sort a shelf.. or bookcase.. or cupboard
Vacuum under the furniture you can safely move
Catch up on those important phone calls
Extras
- Wash any soft furnishings that are grubby
- Wipe the paintwork over
- 15 minutes filing
- Sort through the box/bag you chucked your 'decluttering' into!!!
- Photograph 20 things you wish to sell!! (you can do more if you wish!!)
- Download and install any selling tools you may require.. auctiva/turbolister for example!
- Upload pics to the computer!
Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
Starting early with the ebay challenge. Don't think I've got 20 things to sell but will have a hunt tomorrow. I've listed 4 things though. I'm hoping to make about £50.
Huge thanks to Pigpen, Toots and Soapie for the lists / stars.
Just need to iron a shirt for DH then I can go to bed.
Night night everyone. xx
P.S. AnW'smum...Just an idea but I've slipped this week so my MACAW challenge is to put a wash on everyday and dry it all. I did this for 4 weeks and kept up well and found I really only needed to wash 4 days out of 7 and I got on top of things like dressing gowns, coats, etc. as well.0 -
DH starts his new job tomorrow so hopefully he'll be ok.Cheers toots, pigpoo and soappie - i'm in xx
Ladygrim I am sorry I seem to have missed you somewhere along the way - have sent you a pm and will be adding you to my new flyers list too. Welcome to the thread - hope someone sorts out FB for you. I think your signature is brilliant!SiannieLaz wrote: »I know this going to be a huge pain, but is there any chance someone could post the weekly list so I can copy it rather than keep trawling through all the old posts?
Many thanks all and off to ironing mountain xxx
Jo good for you getting to grips with the ironing - I know how much you love it:rotfl:
Cally (((hugs)))Happy Anniversay honey - no it wouldnt have hurt him but remember he is a man and sometimes they need a bit of coaching! I like the sound of that proud mummy moment and your lovely DD in her prom dress!
Thriftyscotslass - (((hugs))) that must have been a traumatic time for you - but dont worry honey we are here and will support you all we can - you will soon get into routines and everything will get back under control - but REMEMBER you dont have to do it all this week - baby steps or I will be shouting at you!
huston why not have the day sorting out ebay - it will help with the decluttering and it takes a bit of time at the beginning to get your listings done. as for the seller account set up - you can do it in stages - its quite straightforward to do.
froddy well done on the weight loss - I think I have put on lbs with all these meals!!
OK Mrs B I will amend the list - I must have missed it - sorry hun x
AnW'sMum oooooooooooh a MACAW I wonder what that will be ....to do another hotspot.... or maybe even to do 2 hotspots... or to get some ebay listings sorted ....or to ignore toots!!!:rotfl:

Thanks Pigpen, Soappie & Toots.
I've just completed and submitted three very slapdash application forms, since my manager seems to think I should have applied in the round that was due in last Wednesday
There is one role in the next round I might apply for, but I really do need to try to get my CV finished and up on the job sites again.
I had a successful day's shopping (we went to Bicester in the end, as we realised that with the GP on, it would be pretty empty, and it was!). It does, however, mean that I need to take the dress I found yesterday back (but I think I can take it into Basingstoke, assuming I remember!). The new dress is from MaxMara, and is turquoise silk... it's lovely, and feels very grown up! I also found some shoes in LK Bennett that match exactly (although I need to check how well they fit  so I may need to find an alternative pair!).
I've eaten badly today, and not taken much exercise, so I need to get my act together tomorrow. I'm very tired, and STILL haven't sorted out my study or home broadband... but only one more (deeply unpleasant!) week until I'm on leave.
I hope you all have a good week. I'll drop in and say hello every so often but can't guarantee to keep up.
I've just remembered that the chicken is in the SC... I'd better go and have a look at it0 -
Hugs for Toots, and a reminder to take it easy xx
Off to watch CSI catch you all in the morning, up and flying!!
Hugs to anyone else in need and LadyL0 -

I've been looking into it tonight - I don't have much to put up, just some items that I'd bought from there but didn't suit me (two coats) and going to try the kids stuff, that's getting to small.
I never done ebay before because I hate stuff lying around and end up putting it on freecycle or giving it to the local charity shop, if I've tagged it to go - I want it gone. If I declutter any more, my house will look bare and I think my oh will start to hammer stuff down. I'm a serious cleaner, I spring, summer, autumn & winter clean my house and that's not to mention the mid ones I do. I really think I have some form of problem, I do laugh that I'm a bit OCD, I'd tell you more but you may bar me from flying with yous. One day I may tell you the hospital story.0 -
Hi all,
I'm in, thanks Pigpen, Toots & Soappie.

I'm up for the Ebay challenge i haven't listed anything at all lately.
I've just done 2 x HHI's and put it away and a HHS, i will be going to bed very soon.

Good erm, well morning I suppose
Been a great day, might have taken out from my study time but took the boys to see my Dad. Of course to meet my Dad's new partner for the first time and see his new house. Well it probably couldn't have gone better (well if the boys had behaved a bit better maybe), boys seem to really like her. Went to DPs Dad's house, then home. Have done some more of my assignment that is due tomorrow, one question left which I need another book for which is upstairs so will do that last bit tomorrow evening.
Right tomorrow, kids to school, school trip, sports club, meeting ---- that's until 9.30pm gone, at least very little needs doing in the days roomsbest get to bed, night night xx
One day I might be more organised...........
