So much for an early night... I've just realised the time! I've spent ages sorting out my email, as I've just uploaded several years' worth, and also doing software updates. However, I still can't get the email sending sorted.
So while the last update is downloading, I'd better go and get myself ready for bed!0 -
kazmeister wrote: »Flylady - thanks for asking - he got a final written warning, goes back to work on Thursday night
and Hex - they apparently ARE giving him his leave back that he would have taken - 11 shifts !! He only works 14 a month and already has a week booked off in July plus 2 in August and he has to use it all by mid - Oct! Think he might be at home a lot again
Night all
Glad he kept his job Kaz, not a brilliant result but better than you were thinking of eh! and at least he will be on paid leave during that time - plus, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this, a final written notice is only on your record for 6(?) months, and can only be used against you if you repeat the offence? or am I totally wrong on this? I know when we had a problem at our club, I was told this, but to be honest, the way our club is run, it was probably totally wrong...Glad it's all sorted for you both though.
Greenbee, how are you? sorry I haven't been keeping up, but doesn't sound good for you and your team, sorry to hear that - any news for your job hunting? I was down towards your way on Friday night when we went to pick up hubby's bike (about 10 mins from Stonehenge - it took 5 1/2 hours to get 150 miles with all the roadworks northbound on the M25 and then Ascot when we tried to cut through...:mad::mad:) if it wasn't so late, I would have popped round for a cuppa...

Completely shattered, day consisted of usual manic morning, then school trip, back to make tea, off to sports thingy, then to meeting, then back to finishon time for a change my assignment......jiggered! DPs just asked, after I nuked him some left over pizza, to make him some more food, he's been told politely to **** off. He's done sweet pee all today apart from lay on the sofa playing with the laptop, there is a pile of plates on the kitchen bench and left over junk of what he's eaten/drank everywhere so stood up for myself as I am too tired.
With regards to clean bed sheets every 2 days, if I had the money and I didn't worry about the enviromental issues I would do mine daily! I love clean sheets.
Yes that means nothing done on the list for me but I am in all morning, if nothing else comes up, tomorrow so I will do it then.
With those positive :rotfl: sorry I ranted again didn't I, words, I shall say goodnight x x xOne day I might be more organised...........

soappie - wouldn't worry too much about swine flu....loads of cases near where DH works and his boss's kids school was shut for a week a while ago. .
I'm not worried about it really Rach - though the side effects of Tamiflu seem to be unpleasant. I just thought I'd do an aide memoir to remind me to buy more tissues just in case! As DS works at a school, I guess the chances of infection in our family are high if it's now in the area xx
And worse than that - if his school closes for a week, I 'll have him under my feet all day!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hi all
5x wm,td, pu away, kitchen corner unit put up, massive hot spot in kitchen cleared where unit once was:o, managed some study and played some board games! I'm just decluttering an after 8 cornetto:DOoops - seem we have a case of swine flu confirmed just a handful of miles up the road and a local school is closing for a week. Hey ho, better bulk buy on tissues at some point.
Soappie I'm getting a bit OCD about swine flu. The first confirmed cases were not too far from us, poor lassie that died near us too, school closures all round us, I have said before I'm living in the swine flu triangle. I've started making the kids wash their hands the second they come in the door, washing door handles. At the kids schools they are making them wash their hands when moving from one class to another. I couldn't get out of Glasgow on Sunday quick enough and kept telling the kids to keep their hands away from their faces:oskintscotslass wrote: »Evening ladies :waves:
Can I please ask for positive interview vibes for my BF please? He's got an interview tomorrow at 11.30. Its the first interview he's has in about 18 months of applying for jobs near me. If he gets it, he can finally move in.
No probs huge vibes being sent his way.
Pigpen Jacob is. He's like his dad what a lovely family they make. Awwwwwww wish mine were that size again.
Hex :T:TWell done on your weight loss:T:T
Mrs beatson you've had me like this all day
Right off to do a bit more study, nothing like the next lot of OU stuff being delivered to [STRIKE]spur me on [/STRIKE] remind me how far behind I am!

Hugs FFP - Your kids' school is good in that they are making them wash their hands. But I believe there's really no need to be OCD about it and continually washing door handles etc. It you're going to get it, you'll get it from contact outside the home. And it's only, apparently, proved fatal in one case where the poor lady in question, it seems, had medical problems anyway (though I realise that doesn't help those of you with medical problems!)
I shall just make sure I have a good supply of tissues in the house xxxI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning All
Pigpen - that's a lovely picture - isn't Jacob growing?
Well done on the weightloss hex and froddy
I hope I manage to get more done today than I did yesterday. Going to put some washing on the line in a minute and then I'll strip the bed when DH gets up. Might have a quick declutter in the LR but the dishes need washing although if I leave them DH might do them when he gets up and do a HHI as well.
We'll see - I'll do a HHC doing something anyway.
Have a good day all
Hugs
