Glad you are taking it easier and you weren't gonna try that full list you had me worried. Impressed thats a word I have never heard in the same sentence with my name, I'm well chuffed!

Mr B the last time I gave up I just kept thinking about my grandparents they both smoked John Player full strength the ones with no filter about 30+ a day for goodness knows how many years and then just gave up. I kept thinking if they could so could I. I started again after 6 years when I went back to manage the pub and stayed back one night for a shandy (something I don't normally do).:o

    Good Morning :hello:

Nice to see the site up and running again. We are about to leave for swimming lessons and then on to the church fair remembering to be back in time for a freecycler to pick up the FF!

Weather so far is looking good which should help on the £ raising front.

Hope you all have a great w/e catch you all later :D

I woke up and thought.. hmm... I need to fling that table out of the back room today.. nip up the road for a piece of cusshion floor and rip up a crappet... AND see if I can convince myself to unblock the loo and then maybe mince the grass and trim the bush before it takes up the whole street!!

My mission to clear the ground floor is moving slightly, although I had to go back and re-sort the kitchen this morning which was a bit annoying.

Can't decide - sort the horrid hall (and associated paperwork mountain, and the understairs cupboard which stinks of damp) or sort the rather cluttered Living Room, the hall annoys me but the LR I use every day. The purring kitten on my knee thinks I should sit here and do nothing which is lovely if not productive.

rosepink hugs. Can you just say to DH "darling if you hoovered the floor, we could...have dinner/go out/do horizontal jogging? I know its really really hard when the black dog has you.
He did hoover in the end when I got up and started doing things. He doesn't ever do anything unless I'm working too! But I'm glad he hoovered, he's a good lad really just needs a rocket up his backside to get going. Once he's going he does things quite well!
I have lovely children, but I'm raising them to be lovely adults. That doesn't mean that I expect adult behaviour from them, but I do expect them to contribute to the smooth running of the household.
Well said Sarah, I wrote out a long spiel, but you've put it much better than me!
Serena, sorry to hear your DD’s prom didn’t go as well as hoped, that’s a shame

Hugs Boddy, hope you had a better night’s sleep last night

Mrs B, you sound really stressed – getting your kids to help out more sounds like a great idea. How on earth did they get toothpaste on the ceiling??? My mum is disabled and has been since I was 3 years old (well since her teens really but she got a lot worse when my sister was born when I was 3) so my sister and I have had to do most of the housework/cooking etc from quite a young age. While I wouldn’t wish that on anyone and I’m certainly not suggesting that anyone make their kids do everything round the house, it was quite good training for adulthood, and doing some chores won’t do your kids any harm. Lazy kids turn into lazy adults in my opinion

Kaz, I want your house. Nice kitchen and dining room, love it

WTG SSL on the weight loss! Well done!

I've read a bit of the thread, not completely caught up sorry. Am packing and cleaning to go home (we decided to stay one more night after all) and need to get a move on now. See you all later xx

    Hello all

I won't manage to catch up this week - our laptop is down again so I'm sitting in the study typing this. DH is still asleep, I'm shattered after a busy week (I've earned myself over 7 hours toil so I am now finishing job on Tues :)) but I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep.

Flying wise we're keeping on top of things here. DH's sis and BiL were round for a meal last night so DH hoovered right through and I cleaned the bathroom. Washing is up to date and everywhere is tidy. I've done most of the washing up from last night already, DH will finish it later. I now have wed-fri off next week (though DH is taking fri off too so we'll go for a walk) but I can catch up on any deeper cleaning then.

Hope all are well, don't like not knowing what's going on!
