Motorola V3Pink

Hi there i have a Motorola that is asking for a subsiy code each time i insert my O2 sim card works with virgin. I was just wondering if it was possible to do it yourself with a USB cable or some sort of code, i took it to the shop today but its no longer there!and i really want to use my new phone.

Any suggestions please?

  • Looks like the phone is locked to Virgin.

You will need to get it unlocked before it will accept a sim card from another network.

  • Hi there thanks for that, it cannot be locked to Virgin as it accepts, T Mobile and Virgin simcards, but for some reason not my O2 one.

Virgin Mobile use T-mobile to route their calls as they "piggy back" that Network, hence it works on both those networks but not O2

if you have spent more than £30 on top-ups with Virgin then ring Virgin customer service and they will unlock it for free

otherwise take it to your local Market and get it unlocked for £10

Virgin will give you the code for free if you have topped it up with at least £30. But be aware they do not have the code for all there phones ! Friend had one from CPWH and they couldn't unlock it, said CPWH must have locked it. Worth checking before you put credit on ot. They took it to the local market and got it unlocked for £12.
  • Is there any way to do it online? Not many market by me.

Well if the software is on ebay, i'm sure its on the web somewhere.
A bargain is only a bargain if you would have brought it anyway!
