Any tips on getting the little blighters off without rubbing the kids skin raw. Ive tried baby oil and that wont budge them and also good old fashioned soap and water. There must be something that will break them down.
Thanks any body who can help :-) xx

Alcohol sometimes works.NEat vodka on a piece of tissue and hold it on to soften it.
Nail varnish remover does too -I have used this before when nothing else worked. some do seem very stubborn.
Ban them in the first place - they are horrid and cause reactions on my DD when she has them (and is allowed to leave them on) , so now she's not allowed them..Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Nail varnish remover contains ethanol, a universal solvent. Works on hot curries too (beer, not nail varnish remover!).Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Nothing works better than mother nature. I wouldn't personally put anything on it except a bit of moisturiser to help the skin beneath it.
In Spain last year my 10 year old daughter had one on her lower back that caused a massive reaction. The local doctor told us we couldn't do anything about the actual tattoo, we just had to treat the wound that it caused, and boy did it cause one hell of a wound.
For anyone thinking of having one of these tattoo's, if the ink is BLACK then DON'T GO NEAR IT. If you want proof I can provide pictures of how bad these things can turn out on kids, (and adults if you react to the ppd).Pants0 -

I think the sort your talking about are henna tattoos , which are often done abraod and aren't the proper henna ink , and can cause terrible reactions.
I think the op is talking about the little stick on ones which are completely different. As pps have said , nail varnish remover should break them down.0 -
Yeah they are just the little black soak on meant to be soak off but never do type.
I would never let them have the one from abroad done you never know what the hell they are putting on your skin. She has had a henna tattoo before but it was done by a family friend who was having hers done for her wedding it looked really pretty and gave her class mates something to talk about when she went back to school ;-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

nail varnish removers main ingredient isnt ethanol its propanone aka acetone. vodkas main ingredient is ethanol
propanone will melt certain plastics and fabrics, take your nail varnish off obviously and also remove certain types of false nails. it also defats your skin which is why most nail varnish removers contains some sort of emolliants to protect you and your nails
temp tattoos should come off with ethanol/vodka'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0
