Hoping that Amazon refund directly as I paid a lot more using my gift vouchers than I did on my credit card. So even if I did go through the chargeback route I am still out of pocket by a fair amount.

If the item was more than £100 [and less than £30k] the CC company is liable for the FULL amount....... no matter how little you paid with by cc

I would like to add that although there are some scammers on Amazon Marketplace, there are plently of scammers on the internet. You shouldn't single out Amazon Marketplace. Take ebay for example, most Nintendo DS games on there are pirated from China. Some on Amazon are too. I think you should definitely not treat all Amazon Marketplace place sellers with the same level of distrust.

I am an Amazon seller myself, I do not have 1000s of feedback comments, but then again I dont have any negative ones either.
