Hi there
I had a very minor accident, foolishly admitted it was my fault (honesty is never rewarded is it??), now am looking at them claiming through my insurance.
I would have only had two years of no-claims anyway when it came to renewal. I rang the insurance company they wouldn't give me an idea of how much my insurance would be going up by.
I know i could pay what the insurance company are having to pay out but i expect it will be hundreds even thought its just a small job on their old car.
Any ideas on how much my insurance will go up? a have a 14 year old car but it is a sporty version. I'm not a young driver but passed my test late.
I realise I am a dumb !!! for having an accident anyway..:(

You can check on one of those comparison websites... Just set your 'no claims' number of years to 0. Should give you an accurate result. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

To get an accurate figure, you will need to say you have had a fault accident (as well as have nil NCD)0

The on line quoting things will give you an indication of the costs with and without NCB.
You can of course pay for the damage out of your own pocket which will protect your NCB but you will still have to tell any insurance company about the accident.0 -

Why would you have to tell the ins com about the acc if you paid for it out of your own pocket, upon renewal/quote the ins com's only ask you for any claims/conviction in last *yrs ???ANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.0 -
Usually the question (or assumption) asked is regarding incidents, not "claims".0

Quentin is correct, a lot of Insurers ask something along the lines of "Have you been involved in any incidents that would have been covered by this policy"0

I think you will find they ask have you had any "claims/convictions in past * yrs" I've never been asked have I had any "incidents"
Any insurers always asked me accidents or convictions in the past 3/5 years. Then you would state whether blame claim or non blame claim. (this includes comparison sites)0 -
