Aspergers may be taken off the map in the near future... combined with HFA (high functioning autism)... check out the latest research on the subject.
Not be so many then I think claiming they are AS.
As for your last comment... please, better things to do, is that the best you can come up with? You must admire me really... lol.
No, I do not admire you one bit (see previous posts for evidence of jbs's late night postings, the ones that have not been deleted  ). Perhaps you should lay off the booze and focus a bit more on your family?Gone ... or have I?0 -
I've recently been told that my son has Aspergers so I thought I'd take the test out of curiosity (and because you get a number)
I scored 37 whatever that means, I'm more interested in the number than the explanation
I'm obsessed with numbers but I just think that because I'm like that so must everyone else be.
Does anyone else count things? Even in the toilets in work I count the words on the sign on the toilet door lol, I'm not interested in what the sign says because there's a picture to show you need to wash your hands but the letters have to add up to an even number and different words make different combinations of even numbers.

It certainly sounds like you have autistic traits but that doesn't mean you have Asperger's.
Are there any similarities between you & your son as that was how I got diagnosed myself at the age of 33.
There is a pretty good chance other people in your family will be on the spectrum as it is hereditory.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

That'll be fun trying to explain to the GP. But it's a good explanation of why I have no friends and making nice with people can be totally painful.
And why I can read 9 languages, remember all my bank numbers and codes, dates of major battles within WWI and WWII, and all the birthdays of everyone I ever went to school with (but not their faces)
Fascinating...keep smiling,

I do. I will spend ages looking at a poster counting the letters in a word in ones then twos, try to divide the word in half - do both sides have the same number of letters? I then look at the word underneath - do the letters line up with the top word? do they have the same number of letters? If I move the bottom word over slightly then is it possible to fit the word exactly halfway underneath the top word? Iv'e nearly missed my train countless times because of this. I also have other 'worrying' traits - today I nearly burst into tears because an activity I was doing with my kids (I work in a nursery) didn't work out, I don't 'do' people face to face - give me facebook any day, if someone I know, other than a little kid, is upset I have trouble saying or doing anything comfoting because I cannot find the right connection, I also imagine attacking people who annoy me for silly reasons
From working with kids on the Autistic Spectrum disorder I often think I do have aspergers, but I'm almost 30 and have enough control and exxperience to work my way around these things so I think sod it - I don't need a professsional to give me a label, I have plently for myselfTotal Wins 2011: Zilch:wall:
